Mechanic and Service Oilers Minimum Required Tool List

Must have in possession upon arrival at the Training Center

 

3/8” sq. drive sockets

10 12-pt standard (5/16 thru 15/16 in)

12 12-pt metric (9 thru 19, 21 mm)

2 Adaptors (1/4 and ½ in)

2 Extension bars (1 ½, 6)

17 6-pt Metric (6 thru 22 mm)

½” sq. drive sockets

18 12-pt Standard (3/8 thru 1 ¼ in)                                                                                   

22 12-pt Metric (9 thru 28, 30, 32 mm)                   

1 – ½” long handle ratchet

Wrenches

32 Combination; 15 standard (1/4 thru 1 1/8 in)

17 Metric (6 thru 22 mm)

3 Adjustable wrenches (6, 8 and 12-18 in)

Specialty Tools

3 Screwdrivers: 3 Phillips (#1, #2, #3)

3 Slotted (1/8 x 4, 3/16 x 4, ¼ x 6 in)

1 9-pc folding standard hex key set (Allen Wrenches)

1 8-pc folding metric hex key set (Allen Wrenches)

1 Hammer; 3-4#

3 Round punches

2 Chisels (3/4, 3/8)

4 Pliers; long needle nose, slip joint, diagonal cutting, vise grips

1 Hacksaw & blade

1 small and large pinch/pry bar

1 small and large heel bar

1 small set of easy outs

1 Extra Large Channel Locks

1 Center Punch

1 – ½” Impact wrench (pneumatic or cordless)

1 – Die Grinder (pneumatic)

1 – Tape Measure

1 – Test Light

1 – Multimeter

1 – ½” Drill (electric or cordless)

1 – Drill bit index (1/16” – 1/2”)

1 – Wire strippers / crimpers

1 – ¼” Drive Socket Set / Ratchet

1 – Dial Caliper

Filter Wrenches

1 – 3” Filter Wrench

1 – 4” Filter Wrench

1 – 5” Filter Wrench

1 – Strap Wrench (for extra large filters)

1 - 3/8” long handle ratchet

Tool Box

1 or 2 tool boxes to put the listed items in (No Roll Arounds. Needs to be kept mobile and small enough for you to be able to pack by yourself)
